We follow the National Curriculum which is child- centered. We aim to provide top quality teaching and learning and our priority is to cater for the individual learning needs of each child. We hope as a team to provide our children with a fair chance at everything on our curriculum before they leave our school.
Team Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy
As a staff we endeavour to ensure that each child has the opportunity to reach his or her potential. Team teaching is employed to provide programmes of Literacy Lift Off and Maths Blast station teaching. Teachers work together in teams to plan and deliver intensive tuition in language, reading, writing and numeracy. The children work in groups at their level of attainment pitched at just the right level to ensure each child experiences success.
We were awarded our first Active School Flag in 2015 and all pupils are benefitting from a school culture which promotes health and well being. We have a great tradition of promoting music and drama in our school and each year our pupils have the opportunity to take part in a Christmas Concert or Funky Kids Show .
