The capital of this conservative presidential republic is Aribia. The nation is at the western end of Toltecan and has a strong economic base in the fishing and manufacturing industries. Due its location, it is also a major trading partner with southern Zemian nations.
Regions
Catalinera Peninsula
This peninsula has a bustling fishing industry which provides 80% of Zaraco's seafood. Both industrial and artisanal fleets set out from Catalinera's fishing ports to catch a variety of marine species, the main earners being sardines, anchovies, and shrimp. Some of Zaraco's most lucrative luxury resorts also operate successfully in this region, while dealing with occasional clashes with the activities of the fishing industry.
Carigual Tribal Lands
This mountainous area is home to two indigenous tribes who live in self-sufficient communities kept alive by hunting, traditional agriculture practices, and raising of livestock. A small extinct volcanic island just off the eastern coast of this Zaraco is also home to another one of the nation’s many indigenous groups.
Malatin Grainlands
Historically the main food producing region of Zaraco, this region is now home to major industries, including apparel and textile as well as automotive manufacturing. The large scale auto production of Malatin helps make Zaraco of one Toltecan's most prominent exporters.
