PS 72 Dewey Designers Robotics Team

The Dewey Designers are a creative and driven team of 4th and 5th grade students who build and code robots to solve real-world challenges as part of the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competition. Working together, the team designs, programs, and tests a LEGO robot to complete a series of missions on an official FLL game board. Alongside their robotics work, the Dewey Designers take on an Innovation Project—researching, developing, and presenting a solution based on the annual FLL theme. Through teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on STEAM exploration, the Dewey Designers gain valuable skills while having fun and making a difference.  As the team’s coach, I have the privilege of guiding and supporting these young innovators on their journey of discovery and growth.
