Students became real-world inventors and designers using Tinkercad, an easy-to-use 3D design program! They explored how to create digital models by combining shapes, adjusting sizes, and building detailed objects layer by layer.
Each student worked on exciting projects like designing their own video game controllers, creating Native American houses, building Native American-themed snow globes, and even inventing their own unique 3D objects. They learned how to bring their ideas from imagination to the screen—and then into the real world!
Once their designs were complete, the models were sent to a 3D printer, which turned their digital creations into real plastic objects, one thin layer at a time. Watching their designs come to life was a highlight of the project!
Through this experience, students practiced creativity, problem-solving, and spatial thinking, all while exploring the world of 3D technology and design. It was an exciting journey from concept to creation!
