Our students combined art, music, and technology in an exciting project using Makey Makeys! They explored how everyday objects can become part of a circuit and turn into interactive, musical creations.
Some students designed and built their own cardboard instruments—like guitars, pianos, and drums—connecting them to the Makey Makey so they could actually play sounds when touched. Others created interactive art pieces, where touching different parts of their artwork triggered music, sound effects, or voice recordings.
Students used creativity and problem-solving as they experimented with conductive materials like foil, graphite, and carrots, discovering how to make their art respond to touch. By the end of the project, their artistic creations didn’t just look amazing—they made music too!
This hands-on activity helped students learn about circuits, coding, and conductivity, while encouraging them to think like inventors and express themselves in unique, creative ways.
