Mathematics Resources
This is where educators will find the Kindergarten math scope and sequence, course of study, diagnostic assessments, learning goals and instructional resources. This will aid Kindergarten educators in short and long term collaboration, planning and programming.
Additional Math Resources...
The following section includes a wide variety of additional resources that Kindergarten educators may choose to supplement in their collaboration, planning and programming. Then it moves into other supplementary resources and Messy Maths Book study resources.
Learning Trajectories.
Looking to complement your SCDSB Course of Study instruction? The Learning Trajectories provide resources to support instruction specific to the knowledge children currently have and appropriate next steps. Each topic (or trajectory) is broken down into the levels, or steps, children take on their path to being strong mathematicians.
Kristy Reynolds and Janice Whiteside led the Bradford and area schools on a two year journey through Juliet Roberston's Messy Maths: A Playful, Outdoor Approach for Early Years resource. Educator teams were able to share their journey working through each section of the book. We are so fortunate to be able to share the learning/inquiry through this book study. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this valuable educator/administrator led resource.
