In accordance with Education Code (EC) Section 41020, all Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) are required to contract with an independent Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firm by April 1 each year to conduct a financial audit for the current fiscal year. This audit reviews the district’s financial statements and accounting practices to ensure that the district’s financial position is accurately presented and that public funds are being managed and used responsibly.
