He graduated from the Department of Chemistry, University of Madras, and received M.Phil in the school of physical chemistry, University of Madras. He joined the electrochemistry research group of Prof. Subramanian Mohan, Chief Scientist, at Central Electro Chemical Research Institute –CSIR, the government of India, he received SRF-CSIR during his Ph.D. degree. He did post-doctoral research at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. 

Professional Experience: 

He worked as an Assistant Professor in NIT-Trichy, Central University of Tamil Nadu, AMET University, and KL University, now he is working as an Associate Professor in Saveetha School of Engineering, at the Department of Chemistry, Chennai.
