DFM visit to the 47th Chennai Book Fair 2024
The Functional Materials department at SIMATS Engineering organized a visit to the 47th Chennai Book Fair 2024. Upon arrival at the venue, students were captivated by the 900+ stalls dedicated to the world of literature. Notably, the Chennai Book Fair is India’s second-largest book fair, following Kolkata. Many students, marked their inaugural visit to such an event.
Originally planned for a 3-hour visit, the enthusiasm of the students led to an additional hour at the book fair. They explored various stalls and ended up purchasing books not only for themselves but also for friends and family. The experience aimed to spark excitement and interest, with the hope that it would encourage an increase in reading habits among the students following this enriching event.
