Mr. Dennis Kahn is a life-long resident of the Sauk Prairie community and a 1969 SPHS grad. Mr. Kahn has taught vocal, instrumental, general music and private lessons from 1972 to 2022 and in the Sauk Prairie School District from 1978 to 2022. He has a Bachelor of Science degree as a Comprehensive Music Major and Masters of Science in Teaching from the University of Wisconsin at Platteville. His first attempt at retiring was in 2007 but returned to teaching as a substitute and eventually a part-time elementary and beginning band teacher until 2020. Mr. Kahn created the Sauk Prairie Middle School’s show choir program in 1997 and served as the director for 11 years. Mr. Kahn also served as an adjudicator and Field Representative for the Wisconsin School Music Association judging or serving as a clinician in Wisconsin and Iowa at over 300 festivals from 1988 to 2023. Additionally, he has announced Sauk Prairie sporting and music events in the Sauk Prairie area for over 38 years. He continues to serve as music director and organist at the First United Church of Christ in Sauk City. In his spare time, Denny enjoys taking Izzy, his retired Greyhound for walks, sharing time with family, especially his 4 year old granddaughter Frankie and tinkering with his car collection. On a personal note, Mr. Kahn is “greatly pleased to see and hear the continued successes of the Sauk Prairie Music Program K-12!”
Brad Ederer is a 2007 graduate of Sauk Prairie High School. He was a two-year member of Middle Level Motion, and a four-year member of The Executive Session performing as a singer/dancer in “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Seussical,” “Big River,” and “Pippin.” Brad attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he studied Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Transportation and Municipalities. While attending UW-Platteville, he continued to sing by joining the Singing Pioneers men’s choir. After graduating in May of 2012, he obtained a job as a transportation engineer with Strand Associates, Inc. of Madison, WI. He continues to be involved in music by singing with Eighth Grace, a group at his hometown church. Brad currently resides in Sun Prairie, WI with his wife, Kari, and twin daughters, Madisyn and Brianna, and son, Theodore.
