Bio

“Top O’ the Middle” is an auditioned performance group with rehearsals once a week, composed of talented youth from the Onalaska Middle School 7th & 8th grade choir.  “Top O’ the Middle” has performed under the direction of Mr. DJ Ehrike for 24 years and Mrs. Katherine Hansen-Farnen for six years.  “Top O’ the Middle” is choreographed by Claire Penning with assistant Delaney Hermsen.  This year’s performances include our Onalaska Fall Festival, Holmen’s Gathering of the Stars, Tomah’s Cranberry Jamboree, our Onalaska Classic, Sauk Prairie’s Executive Session Invitational, Sparta’s Burst of Adrenaline, North Saint Paul’s Rock the North, and our Onalaska Family & Friend’s Night.  Our 2024-25 show uses music of the 80’s to tell a story of hope in overcoming fears & confusion & in the end, defying the odds!  We are thankful for our parents, family, and friends and their continued support of our musical endeavors!  We wish all choirs well, are glad to be here today making music with you, and hope you enjoy our show!
