“Available Programs”
This is a general list of programs that we either have accounts to as a district or that your fellow coworkers use. If we have a district account, the username and passwords will be found here. This would include our BrainPop account. If you want to use Discovery Ed, you will need to notify the Tech Director or myself, and we can add you in.
App Ideas to Increase Interest for Your Students:
Check out Kathy Schrock’s Guide to Everything. Not all of these are vetted for the privacy policy, so check on the SDPC page if you are looking to use them!
Peardeck, Kahoot, and Gimkit
Check-in with Jess Pilkovsky or James Seager if you need help with these formative assessment methods. The kids love them!
Looking for a fun way to practice logic as a choice?
Go to ABCYA.com and search Logic - this is awesome brain-training for all ages. I even did some of these with Kinders!
Typing Practice
There is always Typing Club! Students in grades 3-8 all have accounts. So does grade 2, but they have not yet been introduced to Typing Club. They have played a select few typing games, but at this point, it just turns into hunt and peck, unless someone reminds them home row is required.
I have a page on my website with resources for typing.
This is the link to the document we created for our 7th and 8th graders with resources and guidelines about typing.
