The Important Thing

The 4th graders are learning about some of the more advanced image editing tools in Google Slides. Our focus for the latest project is adding in background images, transparent background images, and changing order.

In addition, the students are beginning to think more about graphic design. Students were asked to analyze the use of graphic design in the picture book, The Important Thing. They noticed that the illustrator selected simple images for the background and also utilized signs and other objects to increase the readability of the text.
