Fundations

Fundations is a program we use to support phonemic awareness, phonics, high frequency word study, and reading fluency. 

Below are the Fundations sound cards students will learn and practice daily in kindergarten. These are the foundation to our word building work. I've included three formats of Fundations writing paper that your students will be familiar with as well. 

A digital word wall with all of the trick words students have been introduced to is below. Children can use the word wall to help them spell these words correctly in their writing. These are words we try to have students read by "sight" or memorization by the end of kindergarten, and spell correctly with the support of the word wall. Once they begin to be introduced, students will learn about two new sight words per week.
