The Exeter High School Student Senate is an Honor Council for a number of reasons. The first of which being the determination of all members to better our school and community environments. Determination to not only make those environments enjoyable, but also to tackle any issues brought to our attention. In efforts to keep the Blue Hawk spirit alive our Senate heads the planning of our Homecoming week along with our Winter Carnival. During both of which we plan dress up days, fundraisers, and engaging school activities. We hold meetings open to all students every Wednesday morning, along with subcommittee meetings that are also open to all students every Thursday morning to tackle more focused issues and projects. The two main subcommittees that we host take care of administrative issues and community service.
We are a group of individuals who strive to be something bigger than ourselves; we accomplish this goal through participating in Senate. Being a part of Exeter High School's Student Senate allows for school and community interaction that betters the world around us. Senate is an environment in which total strangers will become your life long friends, inspirations and even mentors. Our senate is a place where you can find your voice and project it in order to make a change. We work hard to be inclusive and bring outside support into our decision making process through all school voting, so that peers who cannot attend meetings have just as much of a say about what happens in their school as the next person.
Exeter is a place full of growth, gratitude and giving. Our Senate works to uphold those values among many others like caring, responsibility, respect, honesty, reliability, teamwork and blue hawk pride.
