At Exeter, senate is in charge of organizing and running our Homecoming spirit week. This week brings fellow bluehawks together by having a different dress up day for each day of the week. Students are highly encouraged to participate in the dress up days, because it unifies the school leading up to our big homecoming games. This year we started off the week with ‘Merica Monday where students showed their red, white, and blue pride. Tuesday was sports day, so students could represent their favorite teams. Wednesday was a fan favorite, students got to bust out their favorites onesies to wear for a day. Followed by “Dress Like Coach Ball Day” where each student could iron their best pair of baggy khakis, and wear a classic grey Exeter sweatshirt, to represent Bill Ball, an Exeter legend. Finally, to show off our school-wide unity, everyone was encouraged to wear all white for our annual Homecoming pep rally. During our pep rally, we checked in with all the fall sports captains and wished them all luck in their games against our rival High School, Winnacunnet. We also heard from our schools talented marching band and our respected Athletic Director. On Saturday, EHS students were asked to bring two non-perishable items to give to NH Tackles Hunger, this covered their entrance fee into the game. Overall, over 550 lbs of non-perishable items were collected that day! On top of all of this our senate decided we wanted to give back to our school by rebuilding the bridges behind our ropes course, to make our trails more accessible for everyone who uses them.
