I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your principal at JDBS. I was born and raised in Gilford, N.H. and am the eighth child of twelve. I spend most of my free time gardening, reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. I love to mow my lawn in the summer and snow-blow the driveway in the winter! I have run four marathons and several sprint triathlons. My wife Samantha and I also love to travel and have visited many countries along the way. We also enjoy our three cats; Trampy, Ella, and Clara Belle.
I have been involved in education for more than twenty years. A majority of that time was spent as an 8th grade Earth Science teacher. I spent five years working for the Quaglia Institute, traveling to schools across the country specializing in school improvement; helping schools become better places for everyone to learn and grow. More importantly, I helped principals, teachers, and students in seeing the value in listening to and learning from one another. Enabling them to collaborate with each other so that everyone can work towards achieving their hopes and dreams for the future, while being inspired by their education to achieve their goals.
It is a great honor to be your principal here at JDB. I take my role as your principal very seriously in addition to the trust you place in me and the rest of our dedicated staff, as you send your children to us every day throughout the school year. If there is anything we can do to improve the educational programming here, please reach out to me and share your thoughts or ideas, as we are always looking to get better at what we do.
Thank you for all you do to help support the JDB family!
