DAY 1
Destinations: Arrival, The Lume
Overall: 8/10
On the first day everyone was extremely excited, however we arrived melbourne very early in the morning which left everyone very tired after the long flight. We had time to drop our stuff off at the hotel, then headed to the Lume to see the Monet Exhibition which I had heard of before coming to melbourne. It was one of the things I was most excited for and it definitely did not disappoint. The paintings, layout, display and overall experience was really relaxing and unforgettable. After staying in the exhibition for a while, I also bought multiple items from the souvenir store as presents for my family.
After leaving the Lume, we had time to explore and walk around as well as get something to eat. Not long before this trip, I had already visited melbourne, and stayed near our current hotel, it felt really nice to be back. One of the things I enjoy most in Melbourne is its weather.
DAY 2
Destinations: Street art tour, Graffiti workshop
Overall: 8/10
The street art tour was another activity I was really excited about. I knew that australia was well know for its street art and graffiti, and I've seen some of them the last time i visited. What made me extremely surprised was that just a day before, 2 of the members from my favourite boy group Stray kids left a huge piece of artwork on one of the streets we visited during the tour. This made the experience so much better than it already was. I was also really excited when I saw Banksy's artwork in a hidden spot on one of the alleyways. By the time we finished, my energy level was pretty low because we were continuously walking. We ended up going to the graffiti workshop to create our own piece of stencil spray paint art to bring home. Though during this process, I started to feel unwell and headed back to the hotel after. On this day the last activity was St Hildas beach, I wish I could've stayed to join.

DAY 3
Destinations: Kayaking, Smartphone Photography Workshop
Overall: 9/10
One of out favorite spots as a group this trip has to be the Melbourne Central Mall, it had a lot of things we couldn't get in singapore, and the food was incredible, We headed back here 2 more times during the trip. In the morning we went kayaking, which was not something I really looked forward to because I made assumptions based on my past experiences with kayaking in singapore. However once we stepped into the kayak, it felt really different and I really enjoyed this activity. Another thing I realized in melbourne was that they had a lot of yuzu flavored food which i don't see in singapore, so I bought quite a few yuzu flavoured food/drinks. An activity I didn''t expect to enjoy was the Smartphone Photography Workshop. Interestingly I think I enjoyed the walking the most, it was really cool to see how the old prison has changed into a calm public area. The prompts of the photos we had to take were also quite interesting and creative.

DAY 4
Destinations: Puppet workshop, Theatre tour, Alexander Mcqueen
Overall: 8/10
On day 4, Melbourne really grew on me, I felt really comfortable here and a lot more familiar with my surroundings which made it a lot less stressful. We first went to a puppetry workshop, it wasn't my favorite as the puppets were creepy to me. The next place we went to was a tour of the theatre, I didn't have a lot of photos from there as I didn't have my phone out.
Finally, My favorite part of the day was the Alexander McQueen Exhibit. Arthur an I are both fashion enthusiasts and artists ourselves, so we were both looking forward to this experience. What I found interesting was that in the exhibition I saw a lot of pieces that didn't look like what you'd see in an Alexander McQueen store typically. There were more variations, bolder designs and clearer elements. My favorite part was the room where a lot of backstage photos were displayed, I realized that I was really fond with not just his clothing designs, but the makeup thats applied onto the models. After the exhibition, my group decided to go back to the Melbourne central mall.
DAY 5
Destinations: Healesville Sanctuary, Chocolate Factory
Overall: 10/10
Day 5 was probably one of the most laid back days, I loved how we got to get out of the busy city for a bit and take a break in the slightly more rural sides of melbourne. Healesville sanctuary had a really calm vibe to it, it wasn't so crowded and it was true to nature. I also visited a sanctuary during my last visit, however I think this one was a lot bigger so I enjoyed it more. After the sanctuary, we went for lunch at the local bakery called beechworth bakery, I got a toastie and a banana bread which were both so good and hearty. Probably one of my favourite meals during this trip. Before heading back to Melbourne city, we stopped by at the healesville chocolate factory which had a huge variety of all different types of chocolates, I bought a honey comb dark chocolate bar and it was so good.

DAY 6
Destinations: NGV, Queen Victoria Street Market, Mary Poppins
Overall: 9/10
On day 6 we visited Queen Victoria street market, to shop and to get lunch. Me and Arthur had the most delicious blood orange granita there. My group also stopped at a chinese owned crystal shop and bought a few presents for our family. Then we headed to the National Gallery of Victoria, we viewed many different artworks from multiple cultures, including my own. I really liked the vibe of the Gallery and I would've liked free time to wander around by myself. It's definitely a place I'd visit again in the future. Then we had dinner before watching Mary Poppins. Dinner was at a restaurant we had payed for beforehand, and the food was also amazing, again one of my favorite meals during this trip. We ended the day by watching Mary Poppins and I was fascinated by the stage effects and tricks they used as they made it look incredibly realistic.

DAY 7
Destinations: Art Gallery, Moonlight Botanic Movie Theatre
Overall: 8/10
on the tram!!
On the last day, we visited another individual art exhibition which I didnt get photos of as they were mostly digital. After that we got some more free time so my group decided to head back to melbourne central for the last time. A key part of this day that everyone was looking forward to was the moonlight theatre, we stayed there to watch avatar till 11pm. The place was packed but we still had a lot of space, we brought our own snacks and enjoyed the movie.
