P5 Stop Motion

Brief

To finish the course and as a summary of the year, we are going to start this new and last project, entitled P5 Stop Motion. It consists of putting into practice concepts and tools that we have seen and used in other projects. Basically it is to create a short video using Stop Motion technique with home elements. In this animated film-making technique, objects are physically manipulated in small increments between individually photographed frames so that they will appear to exhibit independent motion or change when the series of frames is played back. You will record all this in a video with at least 15 seconds extension. In this project, all topic, procedure, materials and systems are free, just the memory and delivery method are already regulated by teachers.

Content

The content is free, being able to use clay, cardboard, ropes, rubbers, springs, lighters, paper, pulleys, ramps, bowling pins, chains, watches, candles, strollers, toys, letters, cutlery, books, waste baskets,... That is, any item that you may have on hand at home and that allows an create a Stop Motion video.

Criteria

• Minimum time of 10-15 seconds.

• Home materials.

• Zero budget.

• Video format.

Process

Each student will have their own Google Document as a Memory Project. You should have to fill all tables with your student information, research, ideas, diary, materials, apps, and also, all your designs and sketches. Also you will include a Story Board of your plot. The other document will be your Stop Motion video recording.

Calendar

As usual, teachers are available to correct or answer any question. The time project will schedule during these two weeks:

• 2nd -> 8th June 2022: first steps, ideas and designs and improvements, development and final video.

• 8th June 2022: deadline for all (document and video).
