P2 Sheets

Brief

Students have to complete these Spreadsheets using initially Google Sheets. In order to resolve all different levels of activities, it is compulsory to check manuals or tutorials about this application.

Criteria

• All work is individually

• Work alone, asking any question to teachers after checking the manual/tutorial

Steps

1. Create a separate spreadsheet file for each level

2. All activities from equal level inside the same spreadsheet

Timetable: you'll do your own class timetable in the attached file:

• Each subject will have the same background and font colour

• The first row will show the days and the first column the class times

• The cells for the break time can be combined

Relative copy, Absolute copy:

In another sheet, created on this spreadsheet, go to cell E3 and write = C5*D7. With this you calculate the product of the cell that is two rows below and two columns to the left (value= 6) by the cell that is four rows below and one column to the left (whose value is also 6).

The result of the formula will be 36.

If you copy E3 in cell F5, what formula do you copy and what will be the final result?

In this case, we say that we have made a Relative copy of cell E3 to cell F5.

Then write the following formula =$C$5*$D$7 in cell E3 and copy it in cell F5.

What have you copied now?

What is the final result in F5?

When the symbol $ precedes a row or/a column, the process is called Absolute copy.

Open another sheet of this spreadsheet, put two numbers in different cells and write a formula in any other cell that refers to the two initial cells.

Make a relative copy and observe what happens.

After that, make the references from the previous formula absolute and copy them in another cell.
