VAPA Enrichment in 2025-26

VAPA Enrichment taught by VAPA educators will be provided in the following manner for the 2025-26 school year:

• UTK-3 = a two-semester program that will provide elementary schools with a Media and Visual Arts (MAVA) teacher for one semester and a Performing Arts (PA) teacher for the other semester to deliver the equivalent of 30 minutes per week per classroom of arts instruction to all UTK-3 classrooms

• 4-5 = the 4th/5th elementary music program that provides options for students to experience band, choir, orchestra or general classroom music to deliver between 45-60 minutes per week per classroom of instruction

• The 4th and/or 5th elementary music program will continue to be provided to elementary sites at the same level of music instruction as the 23-24 school year: 

All VAPA Enrichment will count towards the 180 minutes of biweekly prep for elementary classroom educators. VAPA educator assignments will be emailed directly to Principals by VAPA Program Managers, Tim Benson and Anne Fennell.
