Audition Etiquette
The term "audition" can scare many students but it's a simple arts term that we use to determine whether you currently have the skills to handle the level and work load of the advance group. To make it easier for you, please prepare yourself well by understanding audition etiquette.
Plan ahead and sign up for an audition slot NOW before the best times get taken.
Do your best to arrive 10 minutes before your audition time.
Make sure to check in with a student officer once you arrive.
Dress your school approved best. We want you to feel comfortable and confident.
Do some vocal exercises in the main classroom or in our practice rooms. Please ask a student officer first before using the rooms.
Casually talk with everyone. We're not scary and if you're nervous, probably others are too.
Be kind and good listeners as you wait for your time.
If you ate a snack, please make sure your space is clean before you leave.
Check out with a student officer before you go.
