• Objective Charades:

  • Write a variety of simple scenarios (character, setting, objective) on slips of paper, fold them, and place them in a container.

  • Have students take turns drawing a scenario from the container and silently acting it out through pantomime, focusing on conveying a clear objective. What does the character want?

  • Encourage classmates to guess the objective of the actor based on their actions and expressions.

  • After each round of charades, discuss with the class how they were able to infer the character's objective and what clues helped them determine it. What did the actor DO to show what they wanted?

  • Rotate roles so that each student has the opportunity to act out a scenario and guess the objectives of others.
