Review ostinato (repeated musical patterns) with the "Ostinato Explained" video from class.
In class, we performed a tap-clap-snap-clap body percussion ostinato to "Miss Mary Mack."
Have students create four new motions for their own ostinato.

Topic: Cooperation in Theatre Games
Objective: I can use sounds and movement in theatre games.
Vocabulary: actor, character, exaggerate, gesture, posture
Extensions:
Have the students teach YOU the theatre game, Bippity, Bippity, Bop. Create 2 additional tableaux to call out. For example; washing Machine where the person in the center in the spinning drum and the people on either side are putting in clothes.
Play the improv game "I am a Tree." Three actors create a tableau with their bodies. The first person says what they are positions their like that object. For example, they might stick out their arms like branches and say “I am a tree!” Then, anyone from the group can jump in and become an object that goes with the first object. For example, person B could say “I am a squirrel in the tree” and crouch down like a squirrel, or they could say “I am a pile of fallen leaves,” etc. A third person then jumps up and completes the scene (“I am a rake”). Once the three-person scene picture is complete, the third person remains onstage as the same object, and two more people jump in to create a completely different set of related objects.
