Doc.: Canvas Tutorial Session (CTS) for SU Newly Hired Lecturers in Fall Semester 2024 (2024)
SU Strategic Objective:
3.B.1— Ensure Lecturer Online Teaching Qualification (CETL scope).
Objective (long-term):
Build lecturer digital readiness.
Taking the reins in ensuring teaching and learning readiness, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) stands as a guiding beacon, leading a comprehensive tutorial initiative designed to support both lecturers and students. The Canvas Tutorial Sessions are meticulously structured into two main categories:
Canvas Orientation Session for Newly Hired Lecturers — conducted before the semester begins (Fall and Spring Semesters, A.Y. 2025–2026).
Canvas Orientation Session for New Students — held as part of the New Student Orientation (NSO), which is in collaboration with the Students Academic Affairs (SAA) unit before each semester begins (Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters, A.Y. 2025–2026).
In addition to these regular sessions, CETL may also organize supplementary Canvas Orientation Sessions for both new lecturers and students as needed. Through these thoughtfully designed programs, CETL demonstrates its commitment to fostering a seamless and engaging teaching and learning experience—paving the way for a successful academic journey ahead.
