Doc.: Teaching-Learning Festival (TLF) Spring Semester 2024
Strategies: Provide opportunities for SU faculty members to share ideas on best practices in utilizing Canvas and other technological tools for innovative teaching, which leads to the scholarly discussion of teaching and learning.
In the Academic Year 2024-2025, CETL comes up with a fresh design of the SU Teaching-Learning Festival (TLF). Starting in the Fall Semester of 2024, this special occasion is a space for the SU lecturers who actively participated in the CETL-conducted program to showcase their excellence, especially in the teaching-learning field, and serves as a platform for different academic departments within the university to come together and share their latest advancements in teaching and learning. The main objective of the festival is to celebrate innovation and improvement in education.
The speakers are the lecturers who have successfully completed the CETL programs, such as SU Awards, Active Learning Institute (ALI), and/or etc. These speakers play a crucial role in the TLF by presenting their excellence in teaching and learning, such as creative teaching methods or successful practices that they have implemented in their courses. These could be strategies that have effectively engaged students or techniques that have enhanced the overall learning experience.
The TLF is not just a showcase of ideas; it's a collaborative space where lecturers from various fields exchange insights and strategies. By sharing their experiences, faculty members contribute to the collective growth and improvement of teaching practices throughout the university. As the semester ends, the TLF serves as a testament to the institution's commitment to fostering quality education and encouraging lecturers to continually refine their approaches for the benefit of their students.
