Welcome to Claremont Secondary School and our Course Guidebook for 2025-2026!
We are proud to offer a wide variety of innovative and relevant course options that place students at the center of their learning and allow them to embrace their interests and passions. Our primary goal is to help students acquire knowledge, build resiliency and ultimately create a pathway to a successful graduation while providing them the necessary supports they require along the way!
This web guide describes our current course offerings in detail and provides key information that will be helpful in the course planning process. Students and parents should keep the requirements of the BC Graduation Program for Grades 10-12 in mind to ensure that they are making thoughtful and purposeful course selections. Every student's pathway to graduation will be unique and will ultimately fluctuate from year to year; therefore, students should carefully read all course and program descriptions to ensure they know what is required to meet their future academic goals.
Please note that the creation of our school timetable is primarily based on the number and variety of student course requests we receive in the month of March. Therefore, without sufficient interest and enrollment in particular courses these offerings may not be scheduled the following year, and once the new school year begins the process of making changes to individual student timetables may prove difficult. We hope that students choose carefully and commit to the courses they select.
Thank you for supporting your child’s education, and we hope you find success navigating through our updated Course Guidebook and learning about the many wonderful courses offered at Claremont!
