College & Career Readiness

Are you a junior or senior who is excited, but feeling overwhelmed, when thinking about applying to college? Are you looking for individualized attention in the process or have you not even started the process yet? This class will provide a broad, yet detailed, overview of the college application process and a focus on college readiness. We will discuss college applications, financial aid and how to pay for school, choosing a major that will fit your career goals, what college is actually like, and more! The class will be a mix of information sharing and experiential activities, because where you choose to spend the next years of your life outside of high school is a choice that should be based on your specific goals and dreams. Leave the class with a better understanding of how to apply to college, how to be successful once you’re accepted, and where to go if you need help further down the road. Dispositions: Self-Advocacy, Organization, Self-Reflection.
