Pre-season track officially started! We kicked things off this past Monday, January 6th, and pre-season will continue through March 5th. These workouts are a great way to build yourself up before the season begins and consist of stretches, drills, and indoor running.
If you are interested in joining but feel nervous, don't let that hold you back. Our track team is welcoming, and remember it's a learning experience for everyone whether you’ve been running previously or never tried it! If you have questions or need a little bit more encouragement, there are plenty of people who are willing to help. Stop by Coach Garcia's classroom (room 221). If you aren’t ready to talk to a coach there are other track athletes, such as myself who are willing to answer your questions. Pre-season is very beneficial because it helps you shape up after winter and gets your body ready for the upcoming season. It's a great way to build strength, skills, and goals. Starting with pre-season now can give you a head start and make you more confident.
