Design and Technology IGCSE is a two year linear course where you sit two examinations at the end of Year 11.
These two examinations constitute 50% of your IGCSE grade.
The other 50% is from the Non-Examination Assessment (NEA) or Coursework as it is commonly known, which is a substantial design task with a portfolio of design work and prototype outcome(s).
Below are a number of link Buttons that you can select to see supporting materials to help you with these examinations. There are lots of examination Paper 1 & Paper 3 from the past 5 years, including 'model' answers showing you what the type of response could be and how to gain the most marks.
Note below the dates of your examinations.
The Syllabus, set by Cambridge, outlines the topics that should be covered as well as how your coursework is assessed.
All other buttons are sections of theory topic information to help you to improve your overall knowledge and to prepare and revise for your examinations.
The CAIE Examination Papers (zone 4) will take place on:
Paper 1 (Sketching paper) - Monday 20th May 2024
Paper 3 (Resistant Materials paper) - Tuesday 4th June 2024
