Definitions
The following words are related to the terminology used in the platform modules:
Create: Action to register information in the database.
Edit: Action to modify information in the database.
Delete: Action to erase a record in the database.
Inactive State: Refers to vehicles, accounts, users, etc., that are disabled in the web/application.
Active State: Refers to vehicles, accounts, users, etc., that are enabled in the web/application.
Non-operational State: Refers to vehicles that are out of service.
Detail: In-depth information for each item that has a hyperlink in the different modules.
ACCOUNTS
Macro Account: Groups general accounts. (Global company example: Corporate)
General Account: (Subdivisions of the Macro Account of Corporate by zones or regions) may contain several individual accounts.
Individual Account: It is the account where all tire, vehicle, inspection information, etc., is loaded.
ID/Nit: Fiscal or tax identification code of a company
Cost Center: Refers to vehicle warehouses, maintenance areas, and technical services.
HOME
Renewed/Retreaded/Revitalized/Rereading Tires: Reusing a tire casing or tire to give it one or more lives.
Regraved/Recurved/Resculpted/Resurfaced Tires: It is the process by which the grooves of the already worn tire are remarked with a specialized tool for this purpose.
New Tires: Original unused tire that retains the original depth.
Vehicles to be Inspected: Vehicles that do not have complete pressure or depth readings for all their tires.
Inspected Vehicles: Vehicles that have completed their pressure and depth inspection.
% Renewed: Participation of mounted renewed tires vs. new tires life 0.
Purchase Index: Total tire purchase/quantity of tires mounted on the fleet for a specific period.
CPM: Cost per measurement, example: CPK: cost per kilometer, CPH: cost per hour
Measurement/mm: Measurement traveled per millimeter, example: Km/mm: kilometers per millimeter, H/mm: Hours per millimeter
Unmarked Tires: Tires that do not have a heat number, burned or unique ID for the fleet.
Discarded Tires: Tires that end their useful life for disposal reasons.
Total Over Costs: Alert of accelerated wear or mechanical failures represented in money.
Available Tires: Any tire that has useful rubber and millimeter remnant and can be used.
GROUPS AND USERS
Analyst: (Typist, data entry clerk) This type of user can manage operational information of the account, inspections, etc.
Administrator: (Supervisor, manager, chief) This type of user has all permissions in the system.
Technicians: (Tire technicians, traffic light personnel) This type of user only has access to the mobile application.
Partner: Partners
Tire Management: (Procurement, distributor) This type of user has access to tire creation, warehouses, suppliers, etc.
Super Administrator: (Webmaster, manager, stakeholders) The system administrator has all permissions on the platform.
VEHICLES
License Plate: Vehicle license plates represent the official identification of any vehicle.
ID/ECO/SAP: External identification number of a vehicle
Brand/Manufacturer: It is the vehicle manufacturer company example: Chevrolet, Mazda, Ford, etc.
Model/Line: Represents the version or design of the brand/manufacturer of a vehicle.
Typology: It is how the different types of vehicles are classified, example: SUV, pickup truck, truck, tractor, bus, etc.
Vin/Serial: Sequence of digits that identifies each manufactured vehicle.
Scheme: It is the vehicle structure composed of axles and tire quantity.
Spare Tire: Spare tire of a vehicle
Curtain: Curtain to keep the interior of a vehicle cool
Body: Frame or structure of a vehicle formed by metal sheets joined together.
Type of operation/segment: Type of operation of each fleet such as: Cargo, Urban, passengers, liquids, etc.
Axles: Rod or axle that connects a pair of wheels to drive them and maintain the position of the tires with each other.
WAREHOUSES
Tires in stock: Minimum quantity of tires that the fleet requires for its operation
SUPPLIERS
Supplier: Distributor of tires, retreads, spare parts, and fuel
TIRE MANAGEMENT
Heat/Burnt/ID number: Unique identification of the tire marked by fire on the sidewalls in the marking window, unique consecutive of the fleet.
N0: New tire (Life 0)
RNo.: Renewed tire plus the quantity of renewed tires (Life 1 or more)
RG: Regraved Tire
DOT: International quality standard, tire construction, and week and year of manufacture.
Technical sheet: Detail of the tire configuration regarding applications and functionalities, the brand, design, dimension make it unique.
Brand/Manufacturer: Constructor of the new tire.
Model/Design: Drawing, tread of a new or renewed tire
Dimension: Width, height, construction, and rim of a tire.
Renewed Band: Renewed band constructor
Band/Tread: Tread or tread of a renewed band
Life: Number of lives a tire has. For example, 0 original or new life, (R1) (R2) (R3)... renewed tire lives.
PSI Pressure: Amount of air contained in a tire for its operation, determined in pounds per square inch (PSI).
Temporary (TMP): Virtual number assigned to a tire that does not have heat marking, the initials TMP followed by a numerical consecutive example: TMP0001
Prefix: Letter or letters preceding a numerical consecutive (heat number, id, marking) example: Bulk00001
Used Tire: Tire that does not retain its original depth according to the technical sheet.
Transfer: Change tire location (warehouses or accounts)
Renew: Assign a renewed band to a used tire.
Works: Actions performed on a tire (punctures, major repairs, balancing).
INSPECTIONS
Inspection: Collection of data or information contained in the tire (brand, design, dimension, depth, air pressure, novelties).
Inspected: Vehicles whose tires were completely inspected.
To manage: Pending or incomplete information.
To inspect: Vehicles pending inspection.
To validate: Vehicles with one or more tires to be edited, reported from the mobile App.
In process: Vehicle in the inspection process.
Associated or linked Vehicle: Motor vehicle attached to a non-motor vehicle, for example: tractor + trailer.
Trailer: Non-motor vehicle with free axles, for example: Trailer, haul, trailer.
Novelties: All actions that show a possible tire failure, which must be corrected or repaired.
Background: Follow-up to a novelty whose cause allows the tire to continue operating.
Quick action: Functionality to access an activity (inspection, mounting, dismounting, rotation, etc.) and works (alignment, torquing) quickly.
Activities: Actions performed on the tires of a vehicle
Works: Actions performed on tires or vehicles.
