Power of Protest
Caleb Curtis-Dufresne
I created a digital drawing that's like a comic. Five different frames show the president saying that the people won't get more pay, but then he gets tired of the protesting and gives the people more money. There are simple drawings in each frame, but the facial expressions and protest signs are there to show what's happening.
When researching, I discovered that the people who created the World Cup Stadium didn't get paid. I learned about the awful working conditions that exist around the world, and I think it isn't fair, and people should be able to protest to get better pay.
With my artwork, I was trying to show that the more people who protest and come together for a cause, the more likely people will be to get what they need. In my comic, you can see that the group of protesters grows throughout the frames. It is essential for people to stand up for what they want and need. If everyone does this, there is power in numbers, and people will likely get fair pay.
