Greedy Hands

My art piece is about poverty, wealth, and hunger. I made this piece using an app called Kleki. In this piece there are 4 hands; one is a rich person's hand, one is a hand offering food, one is a hand offering money, and the last is a poor hand. The hand with food, and the hand with money are both facing towards the rich hand. 

The rich hand is just open, expecting for people to give it everything it wants. The poor hand is outstretched, waiting to get something but never getting anything. The poor hand just keeps reaching, trying to grab anything they can, but the rich hand takes it so fast, too fast. There is a jagged line in the middle of the poor hand and the rich hand. This jagged line represents how there will always be things in between people who don't have power, and their ability to get the things they need.   

I think that this makes you think about how greedy this world really is. I hope it makes you think about how people just want to take and take and take, but never give anything back. We need more people who are willing to give back.
