For this project, I made two final products. Multiplicity features multiple of the same person in one image, and I edited a few photos together in photoshop for this effect. I made sure when taking the photos that the camera was in the same spot for each one, so merging the photos wouldn't create areas where things didn't line up. When photographing the first one, I placed the camera on a flat, elevated surface and had the model lay on the ground in two different places. For the second, I put a timer of 10 seconds on so that I had time to move around the room and get into position before the photo was taken. I used a nearly empty room in my house for that one, as well as for the first one. I tried not to make the background too complex so that the subjects of the photos, even when multiple of the same person, were more obvious. When editing the photos together in photoshop, I tried to make the edges smooth and have the photos merge naturally so that it looked as if the subject really were all in the same photograph. Sometimes edges didn't line up, therefore some parts of some layers were cut, erased, or given the effect of blending with another. This made the photo better quality. I may have also made more edits to a photo in order to enhance it more. For the first one, I liked how the bright blue of the sweatshirt would contrast with the rest of the image if the rest of the image were black and white, so I edited it in photoshop some more. I also changed the cast. For the first one, I changed the saturation. The cast and saturation were changed in the Photos application, like in many of my past projects. Using photoshop techniques combined with Photos editing gives the images a nice look. I am quite pleased with the finished products, and I'm impressed with how much I've learned about photo editing to make better images overall.
