Reflection during inquiry based learning allows students to process their learning, make connections, identify problems, implement problem-solving skills and identify next steps.
It should be ongoing throughout their learning. This can include regular reflection of their daily goals and progress as outlined in their planning calendar as well as formal reflections at different stages of their free inquiry learning.
The following Google Forms can be used to engage students in formal reflection. They also provide the teacher with valuable feedback.
Reflection #1- Students can complete this reflection at the start of the free inquiry learning.
Reflection #2 This reflection can be completed at the midpoint of the project.
Reflection #3 This reflection can be completed at the end of the project.
Student Action Plan - This working document is where students can note their goals and reflections.
Student Self-Assessment - These questions allow students to reflect on their project process to date.
