Math 7 Honors is intended for advanced students to extend and accelerate their understanding of pre-algebra through practice, problem-solving, and modeling real-world problems. This course combines Math 7 and Math 8 learning standards to create a hybrid/transition to Integrated Math 1 content.
Throughout Grade 7, students should continue to develop proficiency with the 8 Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice:
Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
Reason abstractly and quantitatively.
Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
Model with mathematics.
Use appropriate tools strategically.
Attend to precision.
Look for and make use of structure.
Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.
(That document will eventually migrate onto this website.)
After each FSA, you should calibrate scoring as a PLC, then score the FSA, evaluate the student data, and use the data to guide instruction.
