How to Force a Submission

1. 1. From the "View Responses" tab, click on "Totals"

   2. Next to the class you'd like to force submit, click the blue dropdown arrow on the newly redesigned "open" and "closed" button.

   3. From the options, select "Force Submissions".

   4. Deselect using the checkbox for any students you don't want to submit, and click "Submit"!

How to Allow Retakes

1. Click "Assign", select the class(es) and proceed to adjust assign settings

2. ​Adjust the number of attempts under the "Grading and Feedback" section

3. ​ ​For retakes to work as expected the following combination of Grading and Feedback settings is recommended:

• After Submission = "Keep Visible (No Edits Allowed)"

• Return Scores = "After Student Submits"

• Return Correct Answers = "When Closed" or "Don't Show Answers"

Locked Browser Mode

Toggle on "Secure Exam Browser Mode" in Assign Settings

Low Security:

• Allows students to exit the browser during the assessment.

• Permits navigation to instructor-provided links outside the assessment.

Medium Security:

• Allows students to exit the browser during the assessment.

• Prevents navigation to external instructor-provided links.

High Security:

• Prevents students from exiting the browser without submission or a quit password.

• Prevents navigation to external instructor-provided links.
