  • Students will classify and sort two-dimensional figures based on attributes using formal geometric language.

  • Students will classify and sort three-dimensional figures based on attributes using formal geometric language.

  • Students will use attributes to recognize whether a given quadrilateral belongs within a know subcategory (rhombus, parallelogram, trapezoid, rectangle, and square).

  • Students will determine the perimeter of a polygon when given the side lengths or after measuring all the side lengths.

  • Students will determine the missing side length of a polygon when given the perimeter and the remaining side lengths.

  • Students will use their understanding of arrays and multiplication to determine the area of a rectangle in square units.

  • Students will determine the area of composite figures that can be decomposed into non-overlapping rectangles.
