BASRAN, the Baltic Sea Regional Action Network of Rotarians is a coordinating body to help Clubs and Districts to focus activities to improve the state of the Baltic Sea. Aim is to implement measures most relevant and effective.
The aim is to connect the Rotarians around the Baltic Sea in all nine coastal countries to a Joint Initiative. The final long-term goal is to have the state of the Baltic Sea clearly improved in the future.

“Start from myself” - Activate myself to learn and find good ideas
Activate my own club to nominate the Baltic Sea (or an environmental) Ambassador
Nominate the Baltic Sea Ambassador (or an environmental) for the club
Contact environment specialists, researchers, authorities in the area to give you good advice
Raise money and donate to environment
Do small “hands on projects” to activate the members, for example clean beaches, bring info to schools etc.
Activate the neighbouring clubs in cooperation
Activate and motivate the district leaders to establish a Baltic Sea Committee or Environment Committee

Build networks between clubs
Build networks between other districts
Activate clubs to join to and apply for a Global Grant to achieve bigger goals
