One of the ways that people can experience God 's presence is through others. The Holy Spirit carries out God's work in the world in and through people. Wisdom, understanding, right judgement, knowledge, reverence, awe and wonder and courage are all gifts of the Holy Spirit which can bear fruit in people's lives. This fruit is love, happiness, peacefulness, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
