It is important to acknowledge that there are stories about God creating the world in the Bible. Please avoid reading stories to the children that emphasise what was created on particular days (for more information, please view the video in the Teacher PL link). 

What you can emphasise is God's ongoing presence in creation and that people have the ability to be co-creators with God. One of the ways that people co-create with God is obviously through having children, however, building, cooking and talking are also creative acts. 

In terms of caring for creation, people are called to be stewards, to be aware of our consumption habits and commit to sustainable ways of living that care for our common home - the earth.
