The playgrounds are the best place to run around and get your energy out. With two massive, well-thought-out, one-of-a-kind parks, one being the first ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) accessible park making it accessible for everyone. There are many slides and swings for everyone to use and once you are done playing on one park, there is another one to go to right after which is just as entertaining as the first. So if you are looking for an exciting adventure through swirly slides and climbing on the rock walls, this is the place for you and children you love.
The next area to visit, which is calming and beautiful, is the treeless treehouse and babbling brook area. This delightful sector of the park is where you could sit down and read a book and look up to see an astonishing view of the park. So this is a wonderful place to sit down and have a calming experience.

The last, but definitely not least, is the great lawn. It is an expansive area that you can run around and fly a kite in. The lawn itself is just a flat grassy plain, but what makes it special is the memories you make there. They even have an event called the great lawn kite festival July 1 and 2, 2023. This festival is relatively new and is going to have some of the best kite flyers in the country.
Overall, this park is a wonderful place to be and a perfect place to go for a run, to fly kites, stretch your legs, and even get the kids out of your hair. The address for the park is 4965 S 2nd St, Springfield, IL 62703. If you need to contact someone or ask questions about the park, the phone number is 217-585-2941.
