The name Razzo´s, which means “rockets” in Italian, comes from the mascot of Rochester High School. According to Kyle Mayes, owner of Razzo´s Pizzeria, in 2008, Kyle & Melinda Mayes took their 4 kids (Kenny, Kathryn, Julia, & Grace) out to eat in Rochester. They stopped into a pizzeria when Kyle said to Melinda, “We can do this better,” and they bought the restaurant at 10:00 a.m. and opened that day at 4:00 p.m. with no experience.
Razzo´s is perfect for last minute dinner decisions. It is close to the highschool and other local businesses, including Mockingbird Bakery and Coco Blue Chocolates, and right off of I-29.

Razzo´s has a big selection of pizzas and pastas, including gluten-free options. All of their dough and sauces are made homemade, and the toppings are made fresh daily. The pizza sauce is a 50 year old recipe, and the pasta sauce is an 100 year recipe. Everything is authentic and cooked to perfection. If you're looking to try something new, the most unique item is their Thai Chicken Pizza or their Pickle Pizza made with alfredo sauce. There is something for everyone at Razzos!
If pizza or pasta is not your thing, they have a large selection of salads and a variety of appetizers. All of the lettuce and toppings are chopped/prepared fresh daily and all of the dressing are homemade. They even bottle the dressings, but only around Thanksgiving time, so make sure to stop by and pick some up before they are not sold anymore. If your not full by the time you finish your food, try checking out their dessert menu. They have homemade cakes made daily, with a variety of flavors. The most unique dessert item is the skillet cookie, a freshly-baked cookie baked in a cast iron skillet topped with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate syrup.

The customer service never fails to be welcoming. All customer and staff are treated with equal respect. Most of the staff are students at Rochester High School, and they ask that you are patient with them as it is their first job. Razzo's is very family-friendly and welcoming to everyone.
Don't worry about having to leave your house because Razzo´s offers delivery as well as dine-in. You can eat inside, or they have tables outside for a feeling of fresh air while you enjoy your food. They also offer catering for parties and other events. The restaurant is open from 4-9 p.m. everyday, but they are closed on Mondays. From personal experience, the best time to go would be when they first open or when they are about to close. Rush hour is typically from 6-7 and they are very busy around that time.
