Activities & Classes

Robot Garden is a 100% volunteer run organization. It's members join because they are passionate about making and enjoy sharing these pursuits with others. The vast majority of our classes are inspired and offered by our individual members. Historically, our classes & activities are offered organically as the time and interests of our members allow. We are working to build a portfolio of classes that are offered on a regularly scheduled basis.

We love offering activities for both youth and adults. We love hands-on people willing to jump in and help run activities. Whether or not you are a Robot Garden member, feel free to suggest activities and classes of interest to you. We are always looking for new instructors wanting to build a community of enthusiasts around their own interests.

CLASSES

Robot Garden is putting some of its classes online using our Google Classroom resources. Building curriculum for these classes is an ongoing effort. Suggestions and requests for classes are welcome. Initial focus for curriculum development is on how to safely use our fabrication tools (3D printers, CNC mills, laser cutter, etc.), microcontrollers & single board computers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), and CAD/CAM software (FreeCAD, Fusion360)

ACTIVITIES

Our activities will continue to be offered based upon the time and interests of our members. Many of our activities are seasonal in nature. And, many of our activities are wrapped around public outreach events. Join our Meetup group to keep track of publicly scheduled activities. Join our Slack account to keep track of our internal member-only scheduled activities.
