What is SeaPerch?
SeaPerch is an innovative underwater robotics program that challenges students to step into the roles of naval engineers and scientists. Team members design, build, and operate Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) capable of navigating complex underwater courses and executing intricate technical tasks. The competition tests real-world STEM skills, including engineering design, soldering, circuit building, physics, and precise maneuvering under pressure.
What Our Team Consists Of:
Our SeaPerch Team is comprised of driven, hands-on cadets who are passionate about engineering, problem-solving, and technology. Working collaboratively in technical design, construction, piloting, and engineering documentation, team members learn how to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical challenges. Through rigorous pool testing, design iteration, and team strategy, cadets build essential technical competence, leadership, and teamwork.
Where We Compete:
Our team competes at the highest levels of underwater robotics, matching our skills against top regional programs and national contenders. Demonstrating consistent excellence over the years, our team has qualified for and competed at the **National/International SeaPerch Championship in Washington, D.C., three times in the last seven years!** From local pool meets to global championship stages, our cadets represent our unit with distinction as they showcase their technical innovation and tactical underwater skills.
