Welcome to the official home of the Martin Luther King High School NJROTC Air Rifle Team. Standardized on precision, discipline, and absolute focus, our marksmanship program stands as one of the most dedicated and competitive cadet units in the region. Cadets learn the fundamentals of Olympic-style air rifle shooting, mastering position work, breath control, trigger discipline, and mental stamina while representing our unit with pride and integrity.

Competing on the National Stage

Our program is a proud participant in the National Air Rifle Sporter League, testing our precision against elite high school and JROTC teams across the country. Through rigorous training and unwavering commitment, our cadets travel extensively to represent MLK NJROTC in top-tier competitions. Our team has competed on major shooting ranges across California, Alabama, Missouri, and Ohio, consistently proving our mettle against the best marksmanship programs in the nation.

A Legacy of Championship Excellence

Success is a tradition for MLK NJROTC Marksmanship. Demonstrating exceptional consistency year after year, our program has qualified for the Area/State Championship for five consecutive years. Elevating our performance to the highest tier of high school competition, our cadets earned coveted spots at the National Championships in both 2025 and 2026.

Depth and Team Strength

Excellence in our program extends across all levels of experience. With five distinct competitive teams actively representing MLK NJROTC, our cadets log significant range time and gain invaluable experience in both regional and national competitions. Whether fine-tuning basic positions or competing for national titles, every member of our marksmanship team contributes to our legacy of focus, sportsmanship, and continuous growth.
