Our Mission & Legacy of Excellence

The mission of Martin Luther King High School Navy JROTC is to empower young leaders by instilling the core values of civic duty, selfless service, personal responsibility, and purposeful achievement.

Since our unit’s commissioning in August 2000, our instructors and cadets have steadfastly upheld the United States Navy’s core values: Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Led by two experienced and dedicated Naval Science Instructors, our program delivers an exceptional leadership development curriculum that drives academic excellence, fosters deep-seated patriotism, and builds unwavering self-respect and integrity.

We don't just teach military tradition, we prepare students for life. Through active community engagement, rigorous character development, and high ethical standards, MLK High School Navy JROTC continues to bring distinguished recognition to our school, district, and community.
