Region V:

Membership

If your district is interested in becoming a member of Region V Council for Special Education:

The School District shall submit a letter of application and meet with the Region V SAC.   The Region V SAC Council shall name any other School District by two-thirds majority vote of the full council for membership in the Region V Council.  Region V membership entitles a Board of Education to one vote at a Superintendent’s Advisory Council meeting and to the services of Region V.

The SAC will consider the following factors when determining merit of membership application;

(a) demographics

(b) geography

(c) special education program offerings

(d) curriculum and instruction program offerings

(e) other related issues
