Membership Benefits

Region V Member Districts pay an annual membership fee to cover Region V's operating budget.  

Membership in Region V affords member districts the opportunity to access the following services at the contracted rate.  There is no additional fee charged to member districts for any services they purchase (they pay for the service itself).

Region V Member Districts have access to all services.  Non-member districts only have access to specific services.

If you are a Non-Member District and you purchase services from Region V the additional fees you pay for a service may cover the cost of membership.  Have your Business Administrator inquire about a membership today! 

Direct Services:   Region V fills short term and long term openings in districts with consultants in the following disciplines. (OT, PT, SLP,  TOD, AUD, LDTC, School Psych, School SW, Special Education Teachers, BCBA, transition counselor, job coach,  paraprofessionals, 1-1 and transportation RN, LPN and health aide, parent training, home programs.

Accessible to Members and Non-Members (Priority given to Member Districts).

Evaluations:   Region V completes CST evaluations as requested by both Member and Non-Member districts in the areas in which we have evaluators  (Psychiatric, Neuropsychological, AAC,  Educational, Psychological, Social History, OT, PT, SLP, FBA.  Some bilingual evaluations are available).  Priority is given to member districts.

Professional Development :  There are numerous professional development opportunities available for staff throughout the school year and summer.     Please contact us to learn about current opportunities.

Member Districts -  Staff have access to all workshops and PLCs the majority are at no cost to the district.  Some very specialized workshops will come at an extra cost to the district.

Non-Member Districts - If space allows non-member district staff will be invited to attend professional development opportunities at a cost per participant.  Most PLCs are not open to non-member district staff.

Technical Assistance:  Is provided as requested to administration in member districts.  This service is reserved for member districts only.

Transportation:  

Member Districts - Region V obtains bus routes for students with IEPs and students attending vocational/technical schools in each of our member districts at their request.  The cost of the route is split by the number of pupils on the route.  There is no additional cost above the route cost.

Non-Member Districts - Region V will accept requests to include a student from a Non-Member district on an already established route.  Region V does not bid or quote on behalf of Non-Member districts.  Non-Member districts are responsible for the per pupil cost of the route plus an administrative fee.
