Vocational Expert Opinion
Forensic rehabilitation services provide expert opinions regarding economic damages associated with litigation in worker's compensation, personal injury, medical/professional malpractice, catastrophic injury (adult and pediatric), and marital dissolution. Riseability has maintained a federal contract with the Social Security Administration as a vocational expert since 2013. Additionally, forensic services provide testimony as to lost income damages due to injury/insult that may result in millions of dollars.
Attorney Partnership
Vocational Experts work with attorneys or representatives in forensic rehabilitation who refer cases to evaluate an individual's earning capacity. The vocational expert reviews the relevant evidence in each case to accurately assess wage earning opinions.
Earnings Capacity and Household Services Assessments
Vocational Experts identify an Earning Capacity that the person could have earned before an injury/insult compared to what they are likely to earn following the incident. The opinions provided are based on case management experience in vocational rehab, interviews, records review, psychometric testing, and peer-reviewed research in the following categories: disability, employment, and case-specific studies. Household Services includes data as a person ages OR becomes disabled the types of household services they perform and the amount of household services they perform change. The Dollar Value of a Day uses wage figures of the average wage of people in the labor market who would otherwise provide those household services.
All cases reviewed follow a methodology of forensic rehabilitation, and the Federal Rules of Evidence (Rule 702) apply to all cases. Forensic rehabilitation services have been ongoing since 2009.
